Scholarship Application
Cobb Global Outreach Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to further their education at a college, university, or technical school. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $1000. Up to two awards will be granted each year per school.
Eligibility
- Must be a current high school senior at the following schools with plans to enroll full-time at an accredited two-year, or four-year college, university, or technical school for the upcoming academic year.
- Central High School, Phenix City, AL
- Duluth High School, Duluth, GA
- Norcross High School, Norcross, GA
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
Application Process
PLEASE NOTE - Since supporting documents will be uploaded to the form, applicants will be required to log into the form. You can use any personal email address and password.
Complete the CGO, Inc. Scholarship Application including uploading the following documents:
- An essay between 500-750 words discussing your career plans/goals for the future, unique personal experiences, and how receiving this scholarship will assist you in meeting your goals. This essay must include the college you are planning to attend and your major.
- Two letters of recommendation from faculty members at the high school. The letters must use the school's official letterhead and highlight the student’s accomplishments, skills, academic success, and character.
- Current high school transcript
Rules and Regulations
- If an applicant attempts to manipulate the required essay and does not submit at least 500 words, the applicant will be disqualified.
- Report cards are not acceptable. Online transcripts must display the student's name, school, grade, credit hours earned for each course, and the term in which each course was taken.
- All information received is confidential and reviewed only by Cobb Global Outreach Inc.
Deadline for 2024 CGO Scholarship application and supporting documents will be March 31, 2024.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, and personal statement of goals and aspirations.
Selection of recipients is made solely by Cobb Global Outreach Inc. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified of the decision by May 2024.
Cobb Global Outreach Inc. reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, and national origin.

Recipient Obligation
- Agree to speak with Cobb Global Outreach Inc. personnel after their first semester highlighting their college experience and how they were able to utilize their scholarship from Cobb Global Outreach Inc.
- Recipients will be required to submit a school photo or professional photo to be uploaded on our website and/or social media sites.
- Cobb Global Outreach Inc. also asks that you submit a paragraph or video expressing how the Cobb Global Outreach Inc. scholarship has benefited you.
- Volunteer at an upcoming CGO, Inc. event.
